Some of the rat pups! They are so cute. Most of these will go as pets :)

Top left is Clarke, top right is Farah and the cutie dumbo is Lexa. My newest ratties, Farah and Clarke are about seven months, Lexa was donated to the garden centre and the employee didn’t get much information about her, but she looks fairly young so I’m putting her at about the same age.All three are female, two fancies and one dumbo, all roan/husky rats.
THOSE ARE CLEARLY OPOSSUMS
The oldest mice pups have their eyes open. They will be weaned sometime this week. Muffin and his albino females create agouti babies. I also lost a male rat. Not sure what happened to him he was doing fine the day before but I did get him to a pet store where he as being sold as a feeder and those usually aren’t the healthiest. But good news is some of the females look pregnant. Ill get pictures some time this week of the mice.
I now have my shelves for the snake rack. Thermostat is in transit, not sure whats going on with the heat tape yet. The rack will either be in my room or a spare room we have. Not sure yet because I also wanted to put my mice on it and they are very noisy at night. I’ll keep you all updated as we get everything together.

We got some mealworms for the piranhas and they took no interest in them. So I figured I could see if my rodents would enjoy them as a snack. Some of the mice took them right away, others weren’t interested. 90% of my rats just wanted the cap they were in but my oldest rat (We just call her the Old Lady) knew exactly what to do and munched on one very happily, shes always been very food driven. And a black blaze female also took one. Some rats were more interested in my jeans or the small tongs I was using to pick up the mealworms. (mealworms don’t bother me as long as I don’t touch them)

The little pups will be a week old tomorrow. I need to find some new breeder males, the two I have aren’t as spunky as I would like. They will hopefully find a new home soon. They have to go together seeing they have never been apart.
Both of them decided not to eat tonight. A dream of mine is to have a snake with a heavy feeding response.

When your Ball Python wants nothing to do with a rat but stalks the cats.
