butthurtherpetologist:

I feel I need to point something out about the Lacey act, just in case this is going through anyone’s mind.

It doesn’t matter if you do not keep, nor ever want to keep the species they are adding to the list.

Even if you don’t care about the regulations of retics/anacondas/burms/etc. you still need to fight this with the rest of us.

They will not stop at just those species. They are adding species to the list that they say are dangerous to native wildlife. That is potentially EVERY species of reptile in the world.

They have already proposed banning every species that falls under the categories of python, boa, and eunectes ((anacondas)) So if that ever passes guess what commonly kept species will be included on that.

  • Ball pythons
  • carpet pythons
  • boa constrictors
  • sand boas
  • everything

any species that they say falls under those categories.

So fight.

Donate to USARK and don’t take this lying down.
