Every effort to keep Lilith the albino Burmese from escaping. She still escapes. (YES I know this is too small of a cage for her but she’s not mine she is my sisters. Granted, she doesn’t really take great care of her animals anyway but this one really bugs me. >.

Wow… I just… You need to have a serious talk to your sister about how improper her husbandry is for this animal. This is absolutely horrible. From what I can see, beyond the very obvious issue with the enclosure being unsecured, the enclosure itself looks like it is far too small for a burm, has too small of a water dish, and is lacking a proper hide.

That is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too small, this husbandry is…. wow.

Trust me guys. I know. I’ve talked to her a hundred times. Also, she had a hide but broke it. I’ve been looking for a larger tank for a while with what limited funds we BOTH have. The only place that sells/ makes good enough cages close by is literally the worst pet store in the state. Honestly, the house this snake is living in now, gives her WAY better care than my sister he just doesn’t want to keep her. Seriously love this snake to death. I love my sister but she is one of those people that thinks she knows everything about husbandry no matter how many times you tell her otherwise. MYSELF, I have a custom enclosure for the 8.5ft red tail my step-dad gave me. I am making every effort I can to get the proper husbandry for this baby.

If you guys have limited funds and can’t care for the snake properly now, the snake should not have been bought in the first place. These animals are not cheap.

Obviously everyone has said this but I feel the importance of it hasn’t been emphasized enough.

These large snakes are EXPENSIVE. Yours isn’t even full grown. If you or your sister can’t afford to take proper care if it right now it’ll only get worse. You need to rehome this snake to someone who can afford to care for it. ASAP.

IT HAS BEEN EMPHASIZED. I AM AWARE THAT THIS GIRL WILL GET 20+ FEET LONG
SHE IS NOT MY SNAKE. I CANNOT JUST REHOME HER. I HAVE SAID THIS 8 TIMES.
“I am looking for a proper cage for her. I know what care she needs. She is my sisters. IF I could take her I would and give her a proper home. ”

I’m aware the snake isn’t yours. But as many people have already said, the right thing to do would be rehome it. With or without your sisters consent.

The health of the animal is more important than her feelings

Okay obviously she has stated its not hers. Sometimes people take stuff way too far. Its not her decision what happens to the snake and she knows about the snake and that the tank is too small. Maybe instead of attacking people you should send blue prints to a homemade cage or places to get cheaper big tanks, please be helpful because just telling her she needs to get rid of it isn’t helping anything.
