As you may or may not know, Tumblr hosts a variety of pet communities. There’s Birblr, Fishblr, Reptiblr, and more! This post will hopefully shed a little light on the people behind some of the Petblr blogs. All you need to do is replace the answers here with your own when you reblog. How did you get into keeping the type of animal your blog is focused on?
I have always loved snakes but my mom was deathly afraid of them. We had owned lizards and furry critters throughout my childhood. When I was about 13 I was able to get my first snake (Sam) and it was one of the best decisions of my life.
What inspired you to start your blog?
Me and Kay have always wanted to start a blog together and FINALLY we did. We both share a love for animals and especially reptiles.
Favorite animal or dream animal you’d like to one day keep?
There are so many! Right now I want a Red Tail Boa Constrictor, and some day I would love to own a reticulated python.
How do you feel about the pet community you are a part of?
Its pretty good but some people are very nosy about other peoples business. Also some people are very harsh.
Anything you’d like to communicate to your pet community?
If someone isn’t caring for their pet right BE NICE ABOUT IT. Some people truly don’t know they are doing something wrong.
Are you comfortable with followers asking pet care questions?
OF COURSE! I am not an expert by any means but I love seeing people doing everything to educate themselves. I might not own too many reptiles but I have spent a lot of time educating myself on many.
Any interests outside of your pet community?
Writing and acting.
What do you do outside of Tumblr?
I’m a junior in an online high school. Working on getting a job.
Any other info you’d like to give? (Maybe what you studied in school, what you’d like to one day do, or something else?)
After high school I want to move to either New York or California.
