
Remember that all tetras are schooling species that need to live in groups of at least 6 to be comfortable- that’s why Rudolph here felt so out of place! They are very active swimmers and do best in long tanks at least holding 10 gallons of water volume. All species prefer soft water conditions, though a few like the common Neon Tetra can tolerate much higher than others. Of course, they are all tropical species and require heaters. The tetras in this short are just some of many species.
